Alan began learning piano at the age of five, but found his true passion with guitar. He studied both with his grandma but quickly surpassed her skill with guitar and used his musical knowledge to elevate his playing to a higher level. His commitment to the craft yielded scholarship offers at Snow College where he now attends school and studies guitar with Rich Dixon (Osmond Brothers, Enoch Train). His understanding of ear training and music theory allow him to teach his students a solid musical foundation through their interests. Alan’s goal is to earn a Bachelor of Music Degree with an emphasis in Commercial Music to advance his dream of being a career guitarist. Due to his training, he knows how to play in many different styles. He is particularly passionate about music form artists like John Mayer, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Kacey Musgraves, but is always excited to hear something new!
