Traditional music lessons focus heavily on technique, things like: where to put your fingers, how to properly switch chords, boring exercises from method books, and more. At Skyline Music Studio, we recognize that the purpose of getting good at these things is to make it easier to learn how to play your favorite songs! This is why we focus everything we teach on helping our students learn their favorite music.
Make BIG Progress!
People have become accustomed to the FALSE belief that it takes years of effort and thousands of dollars in lessons to learn how to play an instrument. While it is true that mastery takes time, becoming reasonably good at playing an instrument or singing just takes focused effort and accountability. At Skyline Music Studio, it is our goal for students to make a YEAR'S worth of traditional progress every 3 months!
Feel like a rock star!
Traditional music lessons frequently hold recitals for students that, well... leave a lot to be desired. At Skyline Music Studio, we hold a Student Showcase as a part of every group and semi-private course we offer. In this show, students pick their favorite song they have learned to play with a band of professional musicians. Both family and your friends will enjoy the experience (and be blown away by what 3 months can do)!
